STAM represents science teachers in Manitoba as a special area group. Our mandate is to promote science education in Manitoba, support and recognize science teachers, bring PD opportunities to members, and to support external organizations which work to further science education in the province of Manitoba.
At STAM, we are dedicated to supporting science educators across the province. Our volunteer-run organization provides the resources, networking opportunities, and funding grants necessary for teachers to excel in their profession. Together, we foster a passion for science education that reaches every classroom in Manitoba.
STAM is the science teachers association of Manitoba that provides professional development and grants for science educators. Our primary function is the planning and implementation of MTS PD day programming for the science teachers of Manitoba.
Any science teacher in Manitoba can join Science Manitoba and take advantage of our resources and community.
We offer various professional development programs, workshops, and grants to support science educators in their teaching practices.
Membership fees are $20 per year, usually paid as part of your fee for MTS PD Day.
Grant applications can be submitted through our website. We provide clear guidelines and support for the application process.
There are many ways to get involved, including attending workshops, participating in events, and even volunteering. Reach out to us to learn more!
